TA Program Structure, Policies, and Procedures
- Application timeline: Applications open on 8/1/22 and close on 10/7/22. Please see website for more information.
- TA program structure: Program is run through a state level TAP office. All TAP projects are to be locally managed, designed, and competitively bid.
- Application tips: The project must obtain construction authorization from the TDOT within three years of the award date and it must be completed within 5 years of the award date. All projects are locally managed. Make sure you have your NEPA permits and public involvement support.
- Who is eligible to apply: Local governments or state natural resource or public land agencies.
- Application components: Purpose and need, project status, system linkage, social/economic conditions, land use, safety, cost, support from eligible agency, and public support.
- Selection criteria: Relationship to the proposed project to surface transportation, verification that the project meets one or more of the 10 eligible activities, maps provided illustrate how the project will enhance local transportation infrastructure, relationship of the project to existing, proposed or future state and local transportation plans, and detailed project budget template prepared per the instructions.
- Is there an advisory committee?: No
- Project award minimum: $250,000.
- Project award maximum: $1 million.
- Typical local match: 20%
