TA Program Structure, Policies, and Procedures
- Application timeline: Applications open on 4/22/22 and close on 5/23/22. Please see website for more information.
- TA program structure: The Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) has been a popular funding source for local community development. The West Virginia Division of Highways has designated a bicycle/pedestrian coordinator to facilitate these activities on West Virginia’s roadways.
- Application tips: Applicants may complete and submit a digital Intent-to-Apply (ITA) form for a proposed TAP project.
- Who is eligible to apply: City and County Governments, transit agencies, natural resource or public land agencies, schools, tribal governments, and any other local or regional governmental entity with responsibility for or oversight of transportation or recreational trails.
- Project award minimum: $50,000
- Project award maximum: None.
- Match requirement: 20%
