TA Program Structure, Policies, and Procedures
- Application timeline: Applications open on 12/1/22 and letters of interest are due 10/31/22 and applications due 1/31/23. Please see website for more information.
- TA program structure: ODOT’s TAP funds are for those projects sponsored by local governments outside the county boundaries of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), unless the local is within a small MPO (population less than 200,000) that has opted to join the ODOT program.
- Application tips: ODOT’s TA Manager meets one-on-one with local communities as requested, hosts program webinars, and promotes information on the program routinely
- Who is eligible to apply: Local governmental entity, regional transportation authority, transit agency, natural resource or public land agency.
- Application components: Project sponsor information, relationship to surface transportation, public benefit, accessibility, project eligibility, ROW, acquisition, match, maintenance plan
- Selection criteria: Relationship to surface transportation, public benefit, local support, safety, eligibility, local match (if applicable), maintenance plan, past performance of applicant, connectivity
- Is there an advisory committee?: Yes.
- Advisory committee members: Made up of Office of Local Programs personnel, at least three district Transportation Alternative Program Coordinators.
- Project award minimum: None
- Project award maximum: None
- Match requirement: 5%
