San Francisco Bay Trail | Mission bay

This epic 328-mile regional trail encircles the San Francisco Bay, transporting you from downtowns to the heart of the bay. The trail offers a mix of paved and concrete, boardwalk, crushed stone, dirt and gravel surfaces as it traverses 47 cities and nine counties.

JFK Promenade | Golden Gate Park

Running through San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, this 3.9-mile paved trail provides a car-free retreat from urban life and an important connection to the region’s bike network.

Lake Merced Loop | Lakeshore

This 4.5-mile paved trail, whcih is part of the larger Bay Area Ridge Trail, encircles the freshwater Lake Merced and passes through Harding Park.

Crystal Springs Regional Trail | San bruno

Made up of 3 sections totaling 15.3 miles, this trail has sections that are paved and dirt. It follows a ridge on the San Francisco Peninsula between San Bruno and Woodside, offering views of two reservoirs and a lake that sits atop the San Andreas Rift Zone.
