Trails To Explore Near Miami
Rickenbacker Trail | Alice Wainwright Park, Miami
Stretching 8.5 miles across Biscayne Bay, this paved trail is bookended by parks (Alice Wainwright and Crandon) as it follows the Rickenbacker Causeway delivering stunning views of the waterfront and beach access.
M-Path Trail | Miami
This paved 9.4-mile rail-trail traverses urban Miami between downtown and South Miami, connecting several Metrorail stations and the University of Miami and Dadeland South.
Old Cutler Trail | Coral Gables
Under the cover of fichus trees and banyans, this paved 13.6-mile trail traverses some of Miami’s most beautiful neighborhoods and intersects with the Commodore Trail, the Black Creek Trail and the Biscayne Trail, extending the ride in several directions.
Black Creek Trail | Homestead
The 4.5-mile paved and crushed stone trail weaves between neighborhoods, parks and natural areas. It’s southern endpoint at the Black Point Park and Marina offers a chance to glimpse South Florida’s native manatees, alligators, and birds.
The Miami LOOP | Miami-Dade County
This developing 225-mile trail network, one of Rails to Trails Conservancy’s TrailNationTM projects, is over 50% complete, making it safer to walk, bike and be active outside in Miami-Dade County.
