With 200+ miles of open trails in Georgia, explore the South’s preeminent trail state with burgeoning trail networks.

Although the trail movement is just now putting down roots, here are a handful of trails in Puerto Rico well worth exploring on the island.

In the 20 years since its construction, Rosemary Laporte has hardly missed a day on the Manhan Rail Trail, a paved 6-mile route across Easthampton in western Massachusetts. Rain or shine, she starts her day around 6 a.m. with a leisurely stroll along the beloved trail. Most days, she walks with a friend.

While pedaling the completed 19.4 miles of South Carolina’s Three Rivers Greenway, the word “potential” keeps popping up in my mind.

Urban, rural, or a bit on the wild side, Idaho has trails that are as diverse as the state’s topography. Here are a few of our favorites.

By summer 2022, the Michigan Air Line Trail will complete the final 2.5 miles of its 8-mile total, and enthusiasm among Wixom’s residents and business owners is high. But even more exciting than the trail’s completion is the news that the route will join the larger Great Lake-to-Lake Trails network. Because now, rather than merely attracting Detroiters, Wixom will be able to advertise itself to cross-state roadtrippers.

In a state known for its “Mighty Five” national parks, it should come as no surprise that the trails in Utah are monumental as well.

Dubbed “the Small Wonder”, trails in Delaware certainly reflect that moniker; the longest one is only 10 miles long!
